Matthew graduated from the University of Sydney in 2015 with a Masters of Physiotherapy and a Bachelor of Health Science (majoring in movement sciences). His interest in physiotherapy emerged while assessing human movement and diagnosing muscle imbalances and acute injuries. Matt’s true passion is transitioning his client’s painful injuries into robust rehabilitation programs and getting them back to the things they love.
Matt is currently the head physiotherapist at the North Shore Mariners FC and is involved in the “Future Matilda’s” development squad. He has been the team physio for the Sydney Blue Sox in the Australian Baseball League, Marconi Stallions FC and Hakoah FC in the National Premier League, and was involved with Norths Rugby in the Shute Shield and various other school and club sport.
Since graduating Matt has commenced the pathway to become a specialist sports physiotherapist. He has completed various other qualifications such as the NeckSafe spinal safety program. A new interesting addition to his clinical work is the use of blood flow restriction or blood occlusion training – get in contact to see how this device may assist your return to sport.
