Ashley has been a member of the CBD Physio team since 2009 and has over 16 years experience treating musculoskeletal and sports injuries.

Ashley completed her undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy in 2002 at the University of Sydney, and then went on to work in the public health sector in some of Sydney’s major teaching hospitals. During this time, she gained general experience in a wide range of physiotherapy sectors including intensive care, spinal cord and neurological injuries, orthopaedics, cardiothoracics, and musculoskeletal.

Ashley earnt her postgraduate Masters of Manual Therapy/Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through the University of Sydney in 2009. This voluntary, yet intensive postgraduate degree enabled Ashley to obtain advanced clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions including spinal pain and sports injuries.

For the past 10 years, Ashley has been predominately working in Sydney’s CBD treating neck and back pain and sports injuries. Ashley is passionate about helping her patients to reach their goals and return to pain-free living. Ashley utilizes ‘hands on treatment’ and devises individualized rehabilitation programs to encompass the whole person’s lifestyle, sport and recreational pursuits.

Throughout her career, Ashley has been Physiotherapist for Eastwood Ryde Netball Association and their Representative teams. Ashley enjoys treating ‘weekend warriors’ and loves seeing them return to painfree sport.

Since having her own children, Ashley has developed a special interest in treating pregnancy related musculoskeletal conditions such as; rib pain; wrist symptoms, low back pain and pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain (including sacro-iliac joint and pubic symphysis dysfunction).

Ashley keeps up to date with continuing professional development thereby ensuring that her patient’s benefit from the latest in evidence based physiotherapy practice.

When not treating patients, Ashley can be found chasing after her two small boys. Ashley also enjoys bush walking, gardening, swimming, tennis, picnics at the park, and gym classes.
